DCI Fleet Brings Aging Flatbed Trailer Back to Life with a New Purpose [Video]
Refurbish and Convert Flatbed Trailer into a Gas Cylinder Pallet Trailer
DCI Fleet Service recently refurbished an aging, corroded flatbed trailer, while at the same time converting it into palletized gas cylinder transport trailer. This project called on many of our staff’s core skills to get to the finish line. Our customer is pleased with the outcome and we’re pleased too.
Here is a list of the abilities this project tapped into:
1. Remove side racks, diamond plate flooring, and any other damaged components
2. Sandblast down to bare metal and prep for paint
3. Repair/replace corroded or damaged steel and cross members
4. Modify trailer to accept and lock down pallets containing pressurized gas cylinders
5. Build and attach the front bulkhead and rear ladders
6. Reinstall all wiring, lights, electric equipment, and safety features
7. Inspect and repair tandem axles, brakes, tires, landing gear, king pin
8. Paint entire trailer black and apply reflectors, stickers, and hazmat identifiers
9. Install liftgate and tool/storage box
Our techs literally brought this trailer back to life and gave it a new identity. Just imagine how they would extend the lifespan of your vehicles, while keeping them in top operating condition. We also repair and refurbish hard-side and curtain-side trucks and trailers.
We co-build the following truck bodies for our parent company Victory Truck Body.
